Limted Edition in LP Cover Art Cardboard Sleeve. Originally released in 2002. Recorded and mixed at Southern Tracks Recording, Atlanta, CA. Additional recording and original track on "Let's Be Friends [Skin To Skin" at Thrill Hill Studios, New Jersey "Worlds Apart" and My City Of Ruins" mixed at Silent Sound Studios, Atlanta, CA. Strings recorded for "Countin' On A Miracle" at The Sound Kitchen Recording Studios, Franklin, TN. Asif Ali Khan And Group on "Worlds Apart" recorded at Hensen Recording Studios, Hollywood, CA. Mastered at Gateway Mastering and DVD, Portland, ME. In 2005, Sony Japan reissued Bruce Springsteen's catalog (on CD) in mini-LP cardboard sleeves. The series consisted of 17 titles: all of Springsteen's studio and live albums up to and including "The Rising", minus the "Tracks" box set. The titles that were previously issued on vinyl in Japan (up to "Tunnel Of Love") included an obi strip based on the one that came with the first vinyl pressing of the respective album in Japan and the discs were uniformly red with black text and with orange Sony Music logos, mimicking the labels of 1980's Japanese vinyl issues. The titles that were not issued on vinyl in Japan featured newly designed obi strips and the discs mimicked the labels of the U.S. (and international) vinyl issues. The full series was reissued in 2008 for export to the European market. The artwork packaging is basically the same, but carrying different catalog numbers (all beginning with 88697287) and lacking the silver outer stickers used for original Japanese issues. "The Rising" vinyl replica edition comes in a cardboard sleeve based on the original U.S. vinyl release, Including two picture inner sleeves with lyrics despite this being a 1-disc release. The obi strip is a horizontal pink-and-white one not based on any previous pressings.
