An Opera in Two Acts based upon an ancient Japanese Noh play. The text of ´Der Jasager´, written by Brecht during 1929-30, is based on Arthur Waley´s translation of the Japanese Noh play ´Taniko´. The opera was first performed at Berlin in 1930. This performance was recorded in Dusseldorf (ca 1954). Previously released as MGM Album E3270.
