As a result, the sound quality tends to differentiate from track to track. Especially the older recordings (many of which are in the public domain, such as the ones made by Mahalia Jackson, Louis Armstrong, Mario Lanza, and Bing Crosby) are of a significantly lower quality, as they appear to be directly lifted from vinyl releases (you can actually hear the crackle of the vinyl). The songs credited to both Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby (with the exception of 2-11) are taken from a 1957 TV broadcast of a Frank Sinatra Christmas special. No additional mastering appears to be done to any of these tracks.

Apart from the quality of the sound recordings contained within this set, it is also noteworthy that sometimes the incorrect artists are listed on the packaging, and in one instance even the wrong song. Additionally, several of the songs appear in re-recorded versions. Some song credits indicate a track is a traditional or written by unknown individuals, even if the actual writers and composers are known. In a few other instances, the wrong writers are credited.

Tracks 1-1, 1-12, 1-13, and 3-14 are not recorded by the original line-up of The Drifters, but by one of the group's several incarnations from the 1990s.
Track 1-8 lists Frank Sinatra as a performing artist, but it's a strictly instrumental recording done by The Midnight Strings.
Track 1-10 lists Bing Crosby as a performing artist, but it's a solo recording by Rosemary Clooney.
Track 2-3 and 2-7 feature both Sinatra and Crosby as part of a chorus, taken from a 1957 TV special.
Track 2-4 does not list Louis Armstrong's backing band The All Stars.
Track 2-11 lists Frank Sinatra as a performing artist, but he is not heard on this live recording by Bing Crosby.
Track 3-1 does not list Gordon Jenkins and his orchestra, who are backing Louis Armstrong on this recording.
Track 3-2 lists Mud as a performing artist, but it's a re-recording made by Mud's lead singer Les Gray under the moniker Les Gray's Mud.
Track 3-5 is taken from a different source than the other Mahalia Jackson recordings present here.
Track 3-7 is listed as 'Santa Claus Is Coming To Town' by Frank Sinatra, but it's actually 'Up On The House Top' by Gene Autry.
Track 3-10 lists Rosemary Clooney as a performing artist, but the female singer heard in the duet with Bing Crosby is actually Carole Richards.
Track 3-11 lists Frank Sinatra as a performing artist, but only Bing Crosby is heard (it is, however, taken from Sinatra's 1957 TV show).
Track 3-12 is a re-recording of 'Frosty The Snowman' by Gene Autry, not the original 1950 hit version.
Track 3-13 does not list Louis Armstrong's backing band The Commanders.

Track List :

1-1.
